A following school teacher has been sentenced to 53 months in jail on three charges linked to child pornography, plus three years’ probation.

Stewart Adams, 48, a once-acclaimed English-as-a-second-language teacher at Kingsview Village Younger School in Etobicoke, has 23 months left to serve after he was conceded credit for the 19½ months he has already been jailed since his arrest.

He also faces compulsive cellphone and Internet restrictions, was ordered to give up a sample of his DNA and register with the Ontario Sex Crook Registry.

Adams had pleaded guilty to possessing child porn, distributing it and accessing it. A do battle with of making child pornography was dropped.

Police made a direct one-to-one friend at court with Adams during an undercover investigation in 2010.
