Harris and Burtka, who refer to each other as "husbands" though they are not married, clear up that their relationship isn't always all sunshine and sparkles.
"I don't want to paint our relationship like we met and it's been satisfied family fantastic-ness ever since," Harris says. "What defines a relationship is the toil that's involved to maintain it, and it's constantly changing.
"Sometimes I'm deeply in rapture with David and head-over-heels, and sometimes I question whether it's going to work out and is meant to be.
