You posted some nice emails uninformed non-Catholics rebuke the time it takes to secularization. But you never complicated to explain that Catholics, Holy Orders is a sacrament. It is the same sacrament of marriage, and we know how difficult it is to get an annulment. In gen, a good friend of mine was a Catholic priest and it took 10 years for the Vatican to approve it after its secularization red!
In addition, your frequent comparison of African Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo priests defrocked for fault is somewhat misleading. The church has taken five years to act after Milingo married and his excommunication had more to do with his priests ordained illegally. It had everything to do with the use of Ratzinger (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith). You yourself admit that the pope, as the highest Ratzinger, had no authority over cases of violence until 2001.
Thanks to your constant "How has this dream is happening?"Comments, how about a" how long has he not been successful "by a former altar boy and member of youth ministry like me, who went skiing trip at night, watching television the parsonage, and nothing stupid happened? Just an announcement on the 96% of American priests who have not been charged with embezzling some balance would be welcome.
